Barrington police responded to Nayatt School at about 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14 for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

A Barrington woman was in her car in the Nayatt School parking lot when she realized the vehicle behind hers' had bumped into her car three times. The woman pulled over and the other motorist pulled away, but later struck a utility pole before driving off.

The officer found broken parts of the suspect's vehicle near the base of the utility pole. The alleged victim said her vehicle was not damaged, as it appeared the other man's car had been striking her bike rack.

Someone jotted down the suspect vehicle's license plate and shared that information with police. Officers said the registration was traced to a Fall River, Mass. resident.
