Bristol Police have completed the investigation of a fatal accident that occurred in a Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot a couple of weeks ago and released the identity of the deceased man.

The victim has been identified as Jose Garcia Acosta, 46, a Mexican citizen, who was living in Bristol at the time.

Police say Mr. Acosta died of injuries sustained directly as a result of being run over by a delivery truck at about 2 a.m. on the morning of Aug. 15. The driver was making a delivery to the closed restaurant and did not see Mr. Acosta, who was lying in the parking lot, in the drive-through lane.

Bristol Police said there will be no charges or criminal charges filed against the driver of the truck.
