Barrington police responded to Linden Road at about 4 p.m. on Monday, June 8 for a report of a suspicious condition. A person in the area had spotted vehicles parked near the woods an teenagers carrying bags into the woods.

The caller told police it appeared that the teens were getting ready to have a party in the woods.

Police officers walked down the Hampden Meadows Greenbelt path and spotted one teenager emerge from a connecting path. The teen saw the police officer and ran off into the woods.

Police later returned to the vehicle parked on Linden to issue a ticket for illegal parking. Police also tracked down the vehicle's rightful owner and spoke to that person.

A subsequent search of the woods revealed three areas that had been cleared out, and a backpack containing power tools. Police seized the tools.
