PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School boys’ varsity lacrosse team kicked off its season in promising fashion Saturday, beating Barrington in a non-conference game by a score of 10-7.
The Patriots’ offense was led by Liam Cooney, Wyatt Huggins and Jack Cianciolo, who each scored three goals. Cade McHugh added another.
Marcus Evans and Charlie Mottur each had two assists, and Nik Pederson and William Hayes added an assist apiece.
“It was a great first showing for our boys,” said Portsmouth’s head coach, Ben Willett.
