Portsmouth downs Chariho in girls’ lacrosse matchup

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team defeated Chariho on Saturday, 13-8.

The win improved the Patriots’ Division II record to 6-6, while the Chargers fell to 6-8. 

Emma Hladick was Portsmouth’s top scorer, with four goals. 

Madisoin Ritchey added three goals and two assists, and Kylie Donovan and Sarah Nolan each had two goals and two assists.

Goals were also scored by Ella Blackburn (two assists) and Ally Armin. Mary Arkins had two assists.

Grace Bakun made 17 saves on goal.
