Portsmouth downs Mt. Hope in boys’ lacrosse

PORTSMOUTH — Peyton Robinson had four goals and an assist as the Portsmouth High School boys’ lacrosse team defeated Mt. Hope Thursday at home, 8-3.

The Patriots are now 3-0 in Division II South. The Huskies, who had three straight games postponed before facing Portsmouth, are at 0-1. 

Also playing well for Portsmouth was Evan Alvanas, who scored two goals and had four assists.

The Patriots next face Westerly at home on Monday, April 18, at 7 p.m.

After that they travel to Mount St. Charles Academy for a 3 p.m. game on Sunday, April 24, then return home for a 7 p.m game on Monday, April 25, against Cranston High School. 

The Huskies host Cranston High School West on Tuesday, April 19, at 4 p.m. Mt. Hope travels to Cumberland High on Thursday, April 21, for a 7 p.m. game, before returning home to face Wheeler on Wednesday, April 27, at 4 p.m.

Portsmouth hits the road again on Thursday, April 28, for a 3:45 p.m. game at Narragansett High School.
