Resource Recovery and the town of Portsmouth Department of Public Works invite Rhode Island residents to safely dispose of their household hazardous waste (anything labeled with a skull and crossbones, or words like 'toxic', 'poison', 'flammable', 'combustible', etc.) on Saturday, June 23 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Portsmouth High School located at 120 Education Lane. This collection is available free of charge to Rhode Island residents only. To help reduce time spent in line, appointments should be made in advance.
