PORTSMOUTH — The public is invite to a free program, “Conservation for Livestock Producers,” that will be held at Cloverbud Ranch, Jepson Lane, at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Cloverbud Ranch, located south of Portsmouth Middle School, is a collaborative group of small farm producers organized by Martin Beck of New England Grass Fed LLC.
The free tour is being offered by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Eastern RI Conservation District. Cloverbud is working with USDA on several conservation projects, including plans for a controlled burn next spring.
