Portsmouth High boys lose to Moses Brown, 4-2

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School boys’ varsity baseball team fell to Moses Brown School at home on Tuesday, 4-2.

The Patriots are now 5-12 on the season and play their final regular season game against Central High School at home at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 26. The win improved Moses Brown’s record to 11-7 overall and 10-6 in the district.

The Quakers scored a run each in the second, fourth, sixth and seventh innings. Portsmouth’s two runs both came in the fourth.

The Quakers’ Patrick Petteruti got the win, striking out seven batters.

Andrew Preuit took the loss for the Patriots. He struck out two.
