PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School gymnastics team took third place in Division II at the state championships Sunday in Providence.
The Patriots, with 129.15 points, finished behind the eventual D-II champs, Mt. Hope High School, and second-place finisher Exeter-West Greenwich.
Portsmouth’s Kristie Lee led her team with an all-around score of 34.1 points. The junior scored an 8.95 on both the balance beam and floor exercise, an 8.25 on vault and 8.0 on uneven bars.
Here’s how some of the other Patriots fared Sunday:
All-around: Maddie Harkin (freshman), 32.95; Mackenzie Brow (junior), 32
Floor exercise: Brow, 8.35; Harkin, 8.25; Ellie Platt (sophomore), 7.85
Balance beam: Harkin, 8.25; Brow, 7.45; Platt, 7.4
Vault: Harkin, 8.4; Brow, 8.25; Ellie and Caroline Platt, 7.8 each
Uneven bars: Harkin, 8.05; Brow, 7.95; Ellie Platt, 7.05
