PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School boys’ varsity basketball team had a great night beyond the arc Thursday night as it dominated Tolman High School at home, 83-47.
The Patriots took 23 three-point attempts and hit 15 of them.
The win improved the team’s record to 10-1 in Division II
Most of the Patriots’ scoring came in the second hand, when they poured it on to score 51 points.
Chris Herren led all scorers with 30 points, half of them from behind the three-point line. James Reilly had 16 points and Darnell Taylor added 10.
Next up for the Patriots:
• Monday, Feb. 1: at Shea High School at 7 p.m.
• Wednesday, Feb. 3: at home against Cumberland High School at 7 p.m.
• Friday, Feb. 5: at Exeter/West Greenwich High School at 7 p.m.
