PORTSMOUTH — An 18-year-old local man was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 14, after police received information he recently pawned a computer tablet that had been reported stolen from the Portsmouth Middle School.
Adam Conde, of 412 Jepson Lane, was arrested at his home at about 6:05 p.m. Wednesday on a Newport Police warrant charging him with receiving stolen goods more than $1,500 in value, a felony, and obtaining money under false pretenses.
The tablet had been pawned in Newport, police said.
Mr. Conde was turned over to Newport Police after he was processed in Portsmouth. Several other tablets that had been reported stolen were also recovered through the investigation, police said.
