PORTSMOUTH — Police are seeking any information from the public after a vacant Island Park home was shot at six times sometime early Monday, April 15.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the home at 119 Seaconnet Boulevard to investigate a report of a shattered window.

Police were told that the window had possibly been shot at, Lt. Michael Morse said in a prepared statement.

When they arrived, officers and members of the Portsmouth Police Detective Division confirmed that someone had discharged a firearm at the residence, which is currently under construction and was unoccupied at the time, Lt. Morse said.

After searching the area, detectives determined that about six rounds were discharged into the residence sometime early Monday, he said.

Anyone with any information about the incident is urged to contact police at 401/643-0194.
