Rain has cancelled the Memorial Day parade in Bristol for the second straight year.

The town announced Monday morning that due to inclement weather, the parade scheduled for 10 a.m. has been cancelled. Ceremonies, which were scheduled for North Burial Ground and the Memorial War Garden, will now be held at the BNristol Train of Artillery on State Street at 10 a.m.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986.
