Rene J. Tremblay, 75, Warren

Rene J. Tremblay, 75, of Warren, died, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Warren Skilled Nursing Center.

He was the husband of Caroline (Gibree) Tremblay; they were married for more than 31 years.

Rene was born in Fall River, a son of the late Camille and Rita (Dumont) Tremblay. He was a Manufacturing Project Manager for Raytheon for more than 39 years before retiring. He was a United States Army veteran, serving as a Staff Sergeant.

Mr. Tremblay was a Warren resident for more than 31 years, and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. He enjoyed country dancing, playing racquetball and baseball. He also enjoyed traveling, and was a school bus driver for more than 10 years at Laidlaw and First Student.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Mark Tremblay of Denver, CO.; his daughters, Susan Buschman of Ft. Wayne, Ind. and Janet Neal of Albuquerque, N.M.; his stepchildren, Cheryl Bennett of Fall River, Henry Cembrola of Utah and Gregory Cembrola of Warren; a brother, Robert Tremblay and his wife Claire of Westport; a sister-in-law, Diane Tremblay of Swansea; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Gerard Tremblay and the late Roland Tremblay.

Funeral services are 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Burial with Military honors will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
