A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information about a stolen car that was left burning on the side of Route 24 in Tiverton on Tuesday, March 14.

Members of the Tiverton Fire Department were alerted to a car fire and discovered a Toyota Camry heavily involved in fire with no operator or occupants to be found.

An investigation that included the Tiverton Police Department revealed the car was taken without the owner’s consent. Fire and police investiators are now working with the Rhode Island State Fire Marshal's office to determine who is responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the fire marshal's ArsonWatch line at 401-383-7723 or the Tiverton Fire Marshal's office at 401-625-6786.
