Robbie O’Connell, Live At Linden Place Mansion with Special Guest Rose Clancy

Posted by sbattle

In celebration of Irish Heritage Month, Linden Place Museum is thrilled to welcome back internationally known folk singer and songwriter Robbie O’Connell for a night of authentic Celtic music and storytelling.

Best known for his work with the Clancy Brothers, Robbie O’Connell has performed worldwide and has most recently began working on his own solo pieces. He is a songwriter of vision, being able to take everyday thoughts and experiences and turn them into a structured folk song. Throughout his career, O’Connell has engaged audiences from Madison Square Garden to the Lincoln Center of the Performing Arts and Carnegie Hall.

Clancy & O’Connell will perform Celtic-flavored pieces with Rose Clancy on the fiddle and Robbie O’Connell on guitar and vocals – together they create a delightful musical tapestry to celebrate the season.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
