Mrs. Roberta C. (Bottomley) O’Shaughnessy, 59, of Opechee Drive, Bristol, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Thomas K. O’Shaughnessy Jr., her husband of 29 years.

Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Robert M. and Martha A. (Nastri) Bottomley. Roberta worked as a housekeeper for Silver Creek Manor in Bristol for 22 years. She loved to travel to New Hampshire to spend time at Lake Winnipesaukee, attending Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts every summer, cooking her Italian favorites, and quiet time doing puzzles. She was an avid NE Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.

She leaves, in addition to her husband, two daughters, Catherine R. O’Shaughnessy (John Fogerty), raised in Bristol, now residing in New Jersey, and Stacy A. O’Shaughnessy (Thomas Sullivan) of Smithfield; two sisters, Linda Dassuncao and Peggy Rodrigues (Michael); and a brother, Robert A. Bottomley, all of Bristol.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation in celebration of her life, Saturday, April 29, 2017, 2-5 p.m. in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to RUFF (Residents United for Furry Friends) P.O. Box 568, Warren, RI 02885 or online at www.ruffri.org, or to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State, 1540 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, RI 02920 or online at www.bbbsos.org.
