Ronald Richard Borges passed away suddenly on Nov. 18, 2018, at his home in Lake Wales, Fla. Born on Feb. 3, 1940, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Borges.

He is survived by his son, Ron Borges Cranwell, and wife, Myta, and grandchildren Nichole and Jackson Cranwell, of Pemuteran Bali, Indonesia.

Ron graduated from Colt Memorial High in 1957, Providence College in 1961 and studied law at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. After a career in labor relations, he retired to Lake Wales, Fla., to fulfill his dream of living in a warm climate with unlimited golf.

In addition to his son and family, he is survived by his brother, Robert Borges of Placida, Fla.; nephew Michael Borges; niece Elizabeth Borges; his sister, Judith Ferro McFarland and husband Joe McFarland of Smithsburg, MD; nephew Frank Ferro, his wife Bebe, and their children Colson and Isabella of Lutherville, Md.; and nephew Christopher Ferro and his wife, Shannon Livingston, of Alexandria Va.
