Rose Anna LaFrance, 94, of Warren, died Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Grace Barker Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Armand J. LaFrance.
Rose was born in Warren, a daughter of the late George and Matilda (Rainey) St. Vincent. She worked for S.E. Rains Company as a folder in the handkerchief shop. She was a member of St. Jean Baptiste Church.
She had lived in Warren most of her life.
She leaves her sons, Armand J. LaFrance Jr. of Warren and Robert LaFrance of Providence. Mrs. LaFrance was the sister of William St. Vincent and his wife Theresa of Bristol, and her son-in-law, Noman Danas of Virginia Beach, VA. She was the grandmother of five, Carolyn LaFrance, Sherry LaFrance, Bennett LaFrance, Michael Danas and Danielle Hajac. She was also the great-grandmother of four, Weston Danas, Cohen Danas, Kurt LaFrance and Bobby Ellen; and the great-great-grandmother of Leanne Ellen.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George St. Vincent, Francis St. Vincent, Eugene St. Vincent, Richard St. Vincent, Raymond St. Vincent, Roger St. Vincent, Roland St. Vincent, Lillian St. Vincent, Beatrice Hunt, Doris Martino, Jeannette Nolan and Virginia Bouchard. Rose was the mother of the late Sharon Marie Danas, and the late James U. LaFrance
Her funeral will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday, April 3 from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Jean the Baptiste Church, 328 Main St., Warren. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.
