This weekend will bring the first-ever South Coast Harvest Festival at Westport Fairgrounds! This four-day-long autumnal celebration will host countless events, like professional pumpkin carving, live music, animal interactions, and antique tractor displays! Stop in and learn about native pollinators, sit in on a dog show, and enjoy food and drink!

WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 28-Sunday, Oct .1

WHERE: Westport Fairgrounds, 200 Pine Hill Road, Westport

PRICING: $15 for general 1-day pass, $10 for senior and veteran 1-day pass, $5 for children 6-12 1-day pass, $35 for 3-day pass, children under 5 are free

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
