There are some DISGUSTING PEOPLE WHO WALK THEIR DOGS after dark and let their dogs relieve themselves along High Street, leaving the deposits so that people walking along High Street unknowingly step on it. How about carrying a plastic bag and cleaning up the deposits and take it home and dispose of it accordingly.

This is in regards to two items printed on Jan. 26, 2017. First, for a brief period of time, there were TWO FERRIES RUNNING simultaneously to Prudence Island, one from Bristol and one from Melville. The main line has run from Bristol since before 1900. Whoever said that’s a lie was mistaken. The second one regard Tanyard Brook is that most of the building along that brook took place long BEFORE THE IDEA OF CENTRALIZED PLANNING was even thought of. Some of the buildings date from the 1700s. And none of the land use regulations adopted can be applied retroactively. That amounts to undue confiscation of private property.

I’d like to say KUDOS TO COURTNEY OVER AT THE COMMON PUB. She’s done an amazing job overhauling the place, overhauling the menu. The food is outstanding. If Bristol residents haven’t tried it yet, they need to try it. I can’t say enough good things about the food. And then what she’s done outside with taking pride in Woond Street. What she’s done to clean up in front of her place, clean up across the street. But the one thing that bothers me is the merchants on either side of her, from Bradford to Congregational, could care less about what happens in the front of their places. You need to wear your galoshes if you’re going down the street to avoid the cigarette butts. And they’ve even been bins installed on the telephone poles for the butts, but they just like to flick them on the street or on the grass. And the dog poop… it’s the same thing. But once gain, kudos to Courtney. You’ve really made a difference in the neighborhood, Courtney. Thank you.
