Speak-Out: Neighborhood dispute continues

I’d like to say that I have a friend who lives on Sousa Street, and THE HARASSMENT IS TERRIBLE from a neighbor constantly swearing all over the street and cocking his vehicle in front of the parties. As for frequently calling the police, I believe that if you’re a taxpayer, you have every right to call the police when you are in need of some cooperation and help, especially when you’re having someone harassing and swearing like this person is doing to my friend. And as for complaining all day, I believe these poor people have a right to complain because you have people racing up and down Sousa Street, and it’s only 25 mph. And as for kids playing in the street, the only kids that I’ve seen on that street are adults, adults that are playing basketball at 12 midnight and don’t give it up and go to bed until 2 in the morning. So this is totally inaccurate from the police report because no one stops any children from playing if they’re running back and forth. There are no little children that I’ve seen. If they want to ride their bicycles, they should ride their bicycles up and down the street the proper way. And if these overgrown juveniles want to play basketball, go down to the common. People that pay taxes expect to go to bed and get some sleep, not say up like night owls. I’m just repeating what my neighbor has told me that knows what’s going on on Sousa Street. This street has seniors. You’re not supposed to be harassing seniors. You’re not supposed to have overgrown juveniles playing loud music at the wrong time of the day. Other people have to enjoy their home too. So why don’t they live like civilized people?

This is directed at homeowners who are renting out to college students, especially in residential areas. I wish they would include in their rental contracts that they are NOT TO HAVE PEOPLE HANGING AROUND the house for parties. If you need to party, go back to your college grounds. It is very disturbing to the neighbors around.
