Spring tea time at Blithewold

Blithewold invites guests for Tea in its Dining Room, a place where fine meals have always been served to cherished guests. Gather with friends and exchange stories while delighting in a cup of tea, freshly baked scones with sweet cream, and a 3-tiered tray filled with sweet and savory treats. Simply luxurious! Come in, sit down, relax, and enjoy the moment. The price for Tea includes admission to the Mansion and Grounds, so be sure to leave time for strolling!

There is limited seating; 12 tables per seating, 4 maximum per table. Only parties of 4 or less will be accepted. This is to maintain social distancing for the safety of guests and staff. Seating times are 11am and 1pm.

Be sure to specify allergies or dietary restrictions when making a reservation.

WHEN: Tues, April 4, to Friday, May 5, from 11am to 2pm

WHERE: Blithewold Mansion, 101 Ferry Road, Bristol

PRICING: $35 per member ticket, $50 per non-member ticket

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
