Sweat it out and spin to beat cancer on Sunday, March 6 at Bristol Total Fitness

On Sunday, March 6, 85 people will spend three hours pedaling to nowhere at Bristol Total Fitness. It's not miles they're  hoping to put behind them, however, it's cancer. As part of the American Cancer Society's annual Pedal To End Cancer (formerly Spin For Hope), the Bristol Spinners intend to beat their 2015 fundraising total of $33,000. They're already at $37,000, and donations are still coming in.

The Pedal To End Cancer is a three-hour indoor cycling fundraising event to benefit cancer research, education, advocacy, and services. Participants can spin as a one-person team, for all three hours, or form a team and split up the time. All funds raised support the American Cancer Society and its mission to eliminate cancer as a major public health threat.

The Bristol Spinners were the #1 fundraising club for the 2015 event and they have consistently been in the top 10 fundraising clubs in New England since they started hosting indoor cycling events to support the American Cancer Society. Total Fitness Spinning instructors Julie Fostin, Tim Sweeney, Lizzie Newton, Peggy Murgo, Laura Jenkins and Leslie Brow will lead the event, which is scheduled for Sunday, March 6, 2016, from 9 a.m. to noon at Bristol Total Fitness, 685 Metacom Ave. Visit www.pedaltoendcancer.org to create a team, join a team or make a donation.
