Bristol voters chose two new members of the Bristol Town Council Tuesday night, electing Independent candidate Antonio “Tony” Teixeira and Democrat Aaron Ley to join incumbent Democrats Nathan Calouro and Timothy Sweeney, and longtime Republican Councilor Mary Parella. These results are not official yet, as the state Board of Elections had posted results from only eight of nine precincts.
The highest vote-getter is the current council president, Mr. Calouro, with 4,490 votes. The next four highest, with eight of nine precincts reported, are:
Other candidates, in order of finish, are Patrick McCarthy, Carolyn Medina, Thomas Carroll, Ethan Tucker and William Sousa Grapentine.
