Teofilo Jose Lima, 74, of Seekonk

Teofilo Jose Lima, 74, of Seekonk passed away on April 16, 2018, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maria Jose (Milhomens) Lima.

Born in Villa Franca do Campo, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio and Rosa (Mota) Lima. He was the father of Peter Lima of Seekonk and the late Paul Lima and brother of Antonio Lima, Teotonio Lima and the late Grace Salema.

Mr. Lima was educated in Portugal and self-employed as a mason for 20 years before retiring. He had previously worked for DaPonte Landscaping and was a former member of the Santo Cristo Society. He was a family man and gardener who loved building his home as well as working on masonry projects.   

His funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, at 8 a.m. from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
