Each week the Personal Injury Law Offices of d’Oliviera & Associates compiles a summary of recalls, FDA warnings, market withdrawals and safety alerts that they feel the public should be aware of for their safety and so that they can make informed decisions.

Here are 27 recalls you should be aware this week.


Medical Devices & Equipment


  • Baxter Corporation recalls 50 mm 0.2-micron filter due to the potential for a missing filter membrane and possible particulate matter contamination.  This product is used in hospital pharmacy settings to filter bacteria and other microscopic matter when preparing water-based solutions used for Intravenous (IV) fluid administration. This product is The FDA has identified this as a Class I recall, the most serious type of recall.

Autos


  • Mazda recalls model year 2014-2016 Mazda3 vehicles - the fuel tank may leak.

  • Porsche recalls Macan, Macan S, Macan GTS and Macan turbo vehicles - the vehicle may oversteer in certain driving conditions.

Motorcycle/Scooters


  • BMW recalls G650GS and Sertao motorcycles - the motorcycles may stall during operation.

  • Piaggio recalls motorcycles with possible braking issue - it may take long than usual to bring the vehicle to a stop.

  • Ducati XDiavel model years 2016-2017 motorcycles recalled - the motorcycles could lose power transmission to the rear wheel.

Utility/Recreational Vehicles & Automotive Accessories


  • Four Winds and Chateau motorhomes recalled - the spare tire bracket may loosen and detach during vehicle operation.

  • Tiffin recalls Allegro Open Roads vehicles - the driver-side windshield wiper arm may break.

  • Triple E recalls Unity motorhomes - the showerhead can be lowered into the shower pan or sink basin.

  • Tiffin recalls model year 2017 Allegro Bus motorhomes - the passenger side mirror could move while the vehicle is in motion.

Food, Beverage & Nutritional Supplements


  • Spices USA recalls ground turmeric - the product contains elevated levels of lead.

  • Graceleigh recalls Sammy’s Milk Baby Food - the product may contain the Cronobacter bacterium.

  • McCain Foods recalls frozen onion rings - the products contain milk, an allergen not declared on the label.

  • Koffee Kup Bakery recalls bread products - there may be clear plastic pieces in some products.

  • Café Valley recalls banana nut mini muffins - the product may contain walnuts, an allergen not declared on the label.

  • Good Earth Egg Company, LLC has announced a voluntary recall of its shell eggs because they have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella.

  • Osage Gardens Inc. is recalling Osage Gardens Organic 2oz micro greens, because it has the potential to be contaminated with salmonella.

  • Le Petit Belge, LLC issued allergy alert on undeclared milk in Belgian Boys Mini Pancakes.

  • Nestlé USA initiated a voluntary recall of Nestlé® Drumstick® Club 16 count variety and 24 count vanilla pack due to possible listeria contamination.

Infant & Children Products


  • Graceleigh recalls Sammy’s Milk Baby Food - the product may contain the cronobacter bacterium.

  • FULLBEAUTY brands recalls children’s nightgowns - the garments fail to meet federal flammability standards.

  • Hallee recalls bed canopies - a child can become entangled in the bed canopy.

Pet Food & Animal Products


  • Mars Petcare US announces voluntary recall of limited number of Cesar® Classics filet mignon flavor wet dog food because of potential presence of plastic.

Technology/Electronics


  • There’s a lot going on with Samsung Galaxy 7 – which will appear in next week’s Recall Recap.

Sporting Equipment


  • Wildhorn Outfitters Outpost camping hammocks recalled doe to possible fall hazard.

  • Glion electric scooters recalled - the frame of the scooter can break where the unit folds.

Household Products


  • Sargent Art recalls craft paints - the paint can contain harmful bacteria.

  • Hallee recalls bed canopies - a child can become entangled in the bed canopy.

Industrial/Tools

  • Gleason recalls hand trucks - The plastic rims of the wheels can break when overinflated.

Safety/Security

  • Interlogix recalls personal panic devices - The wireless personal panic devices can fail to operate.

  • FULLBEAUTY brands recalls children’s nightgowns - the garments fail to meet federal flammability standards.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
