Thomas E. Deschene, 65, Adamsville

Thomas E. Deschene, 65, of Adamsville, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after an illness.  Thomas was the son of the late Everett and Dora (Poole) Deschene. 

Thomas worked as a blacksmith, machinist, mechanic and welder, working hard for many years at different jobs including Peckham's Potato Farm, Gray's Grist Mill and more.  He was a graduate of Tiverton High School, Class of 1969.  He enjoyed his work shop, antique cars and vegetable gardening.

He is survived by his brother, David Deschene of Adamsville; his good friends, Rich McGee and Ron Nutbrown; and his dog, Billy.  He was the brother of the late Leslie Deschene.

Private arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.
