Thomas Pereira, 90, Westport

Thomas Pereira of Westport passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Somerset Ridge Nursing Home. He was 90 years old.

He was the husband of the late Cora Pereira. He is survived by his sister, Madeline Mello of Fall River; and by his three sons, Paul (Sally) of Milton, Edward (Kathleen) of Westport, and Peter (Mary) of Rehoboth.

Tom was the grandfather of Paula Brown (Peter), the late Cheryl Gauvin, Jennifer Riley, Thomas Frizzell, Kristie-Lyn Beckstrom (Jimmy), Tracy Lewis (Burt), Katie Pereira, Jarid Pereira and Amanda Pereira. He has 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements will be private. Tom’s family would like to thank the friends and neighbors who helped him so much and became like family to him over the past several years.
