The Tiverton Farmers’ Market is holding its first “Farm Coast Art & Garden Ramble” this Saturday, June 17. From 10am to 3pm, the market will be open just down the road from its normal location, at the historic Tiverton Four Corners area.
The curated outdoor art and garden event will feature dozens of vendors showing pottery, block printing, photography, paintings, metal works, sculpture, bird baths & misters, select clothing, kitchen goods, textiles, linens,
jewelry, herbals, and a bookmobile. The Virginia James Band will provide live music. Also offered are two free workshops by local herbalists Nico Lebreux and Jenny Lee.
The first is “Herbalism for Self Care,” with Nicole Lebreux, beginning at 11 a.m. Learn about nourishing tonic herbal infusions, smoke clearing, and herbal body oiling and how to incorporate them into your day. Lebreux is a mom, community herbalist, yoga teacher, meditation guide, and self-care mentor. The workshop is free and open to the public.
“Spring & Summer Tonic Vinegars,” with Jenny Lee, will be at noon. Vinegar tonics, like Fire Cider, are a popular way to get more vitamins and minerals and support a healthy gut microbiome. Learn how to make your own. Lee, of Common Root Botanicals, will demonstrate how to make your own spring and summer tonic vinegar, using abundant spring herbs like stinging nettle and dandelion along with other plants you can get at the supermarket or grow yourself.
