Tiverton Police: Dumped seashells bring seagulls

Monday, March 28

At 9:56 a.m., Andrew W. Gaskell, 37, of Newport, was charged with high speed pursuit (second offense), and driving with an invalid license.

Tuesday, March 29

At 2:20 a.m., Jason A. Toste, 35, of 253 Holly Circle, Tiverton, was charged with possession of a scheduled drug, domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct, and driving with an invalid license.

Following an allegation involving thrown coffee, Francisco X. Aguiar, 52, of 369 Hooper Street, Tiverton, was charged at 8:22 a.m. with domestic simple assault.

A Crandall Road caller at 9:20 a.m., complained that a neighbor was "dumping shells on his property causing seagulls to go all over her yard."

At 5:55 p.m., Ronald R. Borden, 20, of 84 Ridgeside Lane, Tiverton, was charged with domestic vandalism.

Wednesday, March 30

A 16-year old Tiverton girl was charged at 2:46 p.m.with simple assault.

Thursday, March 31

Richard J. Verdone, 41, of 90 Hayden Avenue, Tiverton, was charged at 3:11 a.m. with obstructng an officer, and under two bench warrants, one from the 2nd and one from the 6th District Court.

At 11:24 a.m., a Linda Road caller complained about nearby blasting.

At 11:49 a.m., a Seapowet Avenue resident called to complain about a neighbor dumping trash on her property.

At 2:52 p.m., Brian J. McCollum, 37, of 230 Robert Gray Avenue, Tiverton, was charged with false representation to obtain a controlled substance.

At 5:30 p.m., Eston J. Moniz, 31, of Swansea, was charged under a 2nd District Court bench warrant and with driving with an invalid license.

Saturday, April 2

At 8:25 p.m., Austin J. Lake, 21, of 333 Main Road, Apt. #G, Tiverton, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct, domestic simple assault, two counts of resisting arrest, and obstructing an officer.

Sunday, April 3

Amanda A. Major, 32, of 1 Mill Street, Apt. # 1304, Tiverton, was charged at 4:46 a.m. with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.
