Tiverton Police: Horse targeted by paint guns

Monday, Oct. 19

At 4:21 p.m., Benjamin Shuff, 46, of Brooklyn, NY, was charged with malicious vandalism, simple assault, and disorderly conduct.

At 5:14 p.m., a Ledoux Lane caller reported a neighbor's horse was in his field, and after a few hours the horse was returned to its owner. Efforts were said to being made to repair a hole in the fence through which the horse had escaped.

Tuesday, Oct. 20

At 4 p.m., a 17-year old Tiverton boy was charged with being a disobedient child.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

At 1:25 p.m., a Stafford Road caller reported a loose cow in the area, but responding officers could find no sign of the animal.

Calvin R. Graves, 47, 32 Cala Avenue, Tiverton, was charged at 4:04 p.m. with domestic, simple assault after allegedly punching a woman in the nose.

Thursday, Oct. 22

Matthew Louis Leonardo, 29, of Somerset, was charged at 11:25 a.m. under an affidavit and arrest warrant.

At 12:36 p.m., a Warren Avenue caller reported a snake in the yard.

Saturday, Oct. 24

At 6:28 p.m., Jamie Rae Ledoux, 28, of 3634 Main Road, Tiverton, was charged under a 2nd District Court bench warrant for failure to appear.

At 11:28 p.m., Jeffrey Joseph Alves, 27, of 16 Fern Way, Tiverton, was charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Sunday, Oct. 25

At 2:11 p.m., a Neck Road caller reported some youths in a pickup truck had shot at his horses with a paint gun.
