Trespassers on Barrington property said they only wanted to shoot rap video

Posted

An alert Barrington DPW employee spotted a suspicious vehicle driving in circles in the neighborhoods near the former Zion Bible College property on Friday, Feb. 19 and called police.

The DPW employee told police there had been three males inside the Brown sedan. He said he later spotted the car parked near the Zion property.

Police responded and spotted the suspects — the three teenagers were walking on the Zion grounds. When the teens saw the police they began running away toward the homes on Great Road.

Officers chased the teens and stopped them. The teenagers told police that they were walking around the property because they were thinking of filming a rap video there. Police searched the teens and found nothing illegal on them. Officers then issued each of them a no trespassing order, and released them.
