Posted

A text from the school department early Friday morning, June 9, alerted Barrington parents to a downed utility pole on Middle Highway near the intersection with Upland Way.

The text warned of the potential for late-arriving students Friday morning: "Prepare for delays in traffic and bussing."

Traffic is reportedly being re-routed away from the downed lines, although officials said that they hope to have the utility pole repaired before Barrington schools dismiss on Friday afternoon.
