Viola C. Marino, 92, Warren

Viola C. (Galawska) Marino, 92, of Warren, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol. She was the wife of the late Leonard Marino.

Born in Warren and a resident all her life, Mrs. Marino was a daughter of the late Henry and Bertha (Kaiser) Galawska. She was a secretary for the former Warren School Department for many years before retiring. She had been a Warren resident all of her life, and a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. She enjoyed walking in Colt State Park, bowling and traveling. She was also a former den mother for the Cub Scouts.

Mrs. Marino is survived by her son, Greg and his wife Jo- Ann Marino of Warren; and a granddaughter, Kaitlin Marino. She was the mother of the late Leonard H. Marino.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 22 in St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

at Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren.

Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to the Warren Rescue Squad, 1 Joyce Street, Warren, RI 02885. See www.wjsmithfh.com.
