Virginia Ingram Gray, daughter of George T. Ingram Sr. and Lena Vermette Ingram, passed away on July 23, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was born in Fall River, Mass., Jan. 8, 1925, was raised in Bristol, where she graduated from Colt Memorial High School, class of 1942. She attended Katharine Gibbs College in Providence.

She was married for 67 years to Loring “Bud” Gray, the love of her life.   They married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bristol on Jan. 30, 1943.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lena; her brother, George T. Ingram Jr. and his wife, Jayne; and husband, Loring. She is survived by her seven children, Mary Gray Millar (John) of Green Valley, AZ, Judge Loring Gray, Jr. (Virginia) of Albany, GA, Judy Robinson of Oklahoma City, Tom Gray (Cyndee) of Gig Harbor, WA, Peter Gray (Jane) of Edmond, OK, Paul Gray (Pat) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Susan Melaugh (John) of Tulsa, OK; as well as 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also, nephews George “Chip” Ingram (Carol) of Windham, NH, Bill Ingram (Ann) of Bristol, John and Edna Greene of Bristol, and Bob and Alice Vermette of Cary, NC.

Virginia had lifelong fond memories of Bristol, its Fourth of July celebration and scenic vistas. She especially loved sailing on Narragansett Bay.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2017, 5-7 p.m. at Smith & Kernke-N. May in Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Brill Chapel at Epworth Villa, 14901 N. Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City.
