Warren PD made 10 arrests between June 19-25, 2023, including one that followed the pursuit of a motorcyclist who attempted to evade police in a high-speed pursuit.

Warren PD: High-speed motorcycle pursuit ends in crash

Monday, June 19
RIDOT was advised of a crosswalk button that was malfunctioning at the corner of Campbell and Main Streets at 7:40 a.m.

Warren EMS assisted a local family whose toddler had gotten a battery stuck on their nose at 12:41 p.m.

A damaged window was reported on Child Street at 1:17 p.m.

Luisa Costa, 54, of 727 Main St., Warren, was arrested on Main Street at 4:37 p.m. They were charged with two counts of domestic violence (vandalism and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). They were arraigned later that evening.

Tuesday, June 20
A rescue was called at 1:47 p.m. on Metacom Avenue for a woman who was reportedly sleeping behind a building.

An employee from Commercial Way reported the use of fraudulent checks at 3:23 p.m.

Brendan Barry, 56, of 250 Market St., Apt. D, Warren, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Market Street at 7:17 p.m. He was charged with driving without a valid license (4th+ offense), and four Superior Court warrants. He was transported to the ACI later that evening.

Police dispersed a group of juveniles from Jamiel’s Park on Market Street at 8:19 p.m. after a report that they were causing a disturbance and harassing young children.

Police looked for a group of juveniles on Child Street who were reported walking towards Kickemuit Middle School with flashlights around 9:05 p.m. They were gone when police showed up to look for them.

Wednesday, June 21
Police received two reports of a panhandler near Child and Main Streets. He was gone at the scene when first called at 8:38 a.m., but was dispersed by police after being called back at 9:10 a.m.

A dispute caused by a YouTube account prompted police to suggest deleting the account when called to a Child Street address at 4:25 p.m.

Kyle Liverios, 28, of 8 Coggeshall Ave., Bristol, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop near Railroad Avenue and Croade Street at 6:21 p.m. He was charged with one count of disorderly conduct, and was arraigned and released later that evening.

Thursday, June 22
Police assisted a motorist whose vehicle broke down in the middle of the road near Market Street and Kickemuit Road at 8:04 a.m.

Sam David Sylvaria, 18, of 23 Vernon St., Warren, was arrested on a warrant at 1:59 p.m. on Market Street. He was charged with one count of willful trespass, and was arraigned and released later that afternoon.

Police restored the peace to a Dyer Street address following a verbal argument at 3:58 p.m.

Mary Ellen McCool, 40, of 91 Main St., Apt. #333A, Warren, was arrested following a report of two people fighting in a vehicle on Main Street at 7:58 p.m. She was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). She was arraigned and released later that evening.

Friday, June 23
Police dispersed a panhandler on Main Street at 10:07 a.m.

Shoplifting was reported on Main Street at 12:52 p.m.

A caller on Kathleen Drive reported a vehicle was circling the block multiple times around 4:19 p.m. Police learned the operator was simply learning to drive on their learner’s permit.

Brendan Doyle, 36, of 624 Metacom Ave., Apt. #306, Warren, was processed for an arrest at 4:27 p.m. He was charged with one misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and was released shortly after.

Saturday, June 24
Gage Makuch, 25, of 55 Inverness Rd., Swansea, Mass., was arrested following a harrowing incident involving a high-speed motorcycle chase that involved Warren and Bristol Police. The report indicates that Makuch refused to stop for a police officer after being observed traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Main Street in Warren. The motorcycle was spotted in Bristol, and they attempted to stop it, but it continued to evade them at high speeds. Warren Police later observed the rider heading north on Metacom Avenue at a high rate of speed. Police then received a report that an accident had occurred around 12:50 a.m. near Long Lane when the motorcycle struck a tree. Makuch was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for his injuries following his rights being read at the scene of the accident. Warren Police reported that charges were pending as they awaited the results of a toxicology sample taken from Makuch.

Sunday, June 25
A woman reported at 1:31 p.m. that items had been stolen from her vehicle on Federal Street.

Jacob Silva, 25, of 120 Arlington Ave., Warren, was arrested following an incident on Arlington Avenue at 2:31 p.m. He was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). He was arraigned and released later that evening.

Sandra Milhomens, 46, of 45 Mason St., Warren, was arrested on a warrant on Mason Street at 7:10 p.m. following the report of a loud argument in the area. She was charged with a bench warrant from the 6th District Court, and was arraigned and released later that evening.

Maxie Abeyllez, 41, of 510 Main St., Apt. #2, Warren, was arrested at 9:14 p.m. on Main Street following the report of an argument. He was charged with domestic violence (disorderly conduct). He was arraigned and eventually was transported to district court the following morning.
