Warren PD: Police arrest woman spotted checking cars

Monday, June 5
Rilbert Rene, 34, of 39 Sowamsett Ave., Apt. #1, Warren, was arrested at 1:23 p.m. following the report of an assault. He was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, 3rd+ offense, and disorderly conduct, first offense). He was transported to the ACI early the following morning after a brief stint at the hospital.

Andrew Swanson, 45, of 11 Summer St., Warren, was arrested on Summer Street at 1:56 p.m. following a report of an argument. He was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, 3rd+ offense, and disorderly conduct, first offense). He was arraigned and released later that evening.

Tuesday, June 6
Police dispersed someone from Cutler Street at 3:07 a.m. following a report of screaming in the area.

A caller on Main Street contacted police asking for help with a raccoon that they had caught in a trap around 1:54 p.m. They were advised to contact a pest control company.

A Metacom Avenue resident reported they had struck a building with their vehicle at 1:58 p.m.

A caller on Narragansett Way reported at 6:27 p.m. that there were two juveniles in a parking lot nearby charging people for parking. They weren’t at the scene when police arrived.

Wednesday, June 7
Police dispersed a man who was asking people for money on Metacom Avenue at 9:38 a.m.

A caller on Child Street reported at 2:31 p.m. that someone was wielding a wrench and causing a disturbance.

James Bergeron, 45, of 11 Ellis Ave., Apt. #2, Warren, was arrested at 8:41 p.m. on Ellis Avenue following a report that they had assaulted someone. He was charged with three counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, vandalism, and disorderly conduct, all first offenses). He was transported to District Court the following morning.

Thursday, June 8
Police dispersed a man on Broad Street who had fallen asleep while listening to loud music in his car around 12:44 a.m., prompting a number of noise complaints in the area and time frame.

An overly intoxicated person who had been reported laying down behind a shopping plaza on Metacom Avenue was transported to St. Anne’s Hospital at 1:58 a.m.

Police dispersed a dog walker who verged onto private property near Jacobs Point at 10:44 a.m.

Police encountered people on Joyce Street who were inquiring where their vehicle had gone from where it was parked the night before. Police informed them that their vehicle had been towed.

Friday, June 9
A Luther Street resident reported that there had been an attempted breaking and entering incident at their property, which resulted in a damaged rear door.

Saturday, June 10
A ring was reportedly stolen from a Water Street address.

A Bridge Street resident reported that a man not known to them had threatened them while standing in their own yard around 12:13 p.m.

Police received a report at 1:54 p.m. that a vehicle on Asylum Road had its window smashed.

Korby LeBlanc, 39, of 697 Bristol Ferry Road, Portsmouth, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. near Davis and Water Streets after a report of someone looking into a vehicle. She was charged with three counts of larceny of less than $1,500 and one count of vandalism. She was arraigned and released later that evening.

Rhode Island Energy was notified at 6:10 p.m. regarding mylar balloons that had become entangled in power lines near Child and Adams Streets, possibly causing a fire hazard.

Sunday, June 11
A man was reportedly using a leaf blower to blow trash into a storm drain on Wood Street around 10:13 a.m. but police didn’t find anyone in the area.

The animal control officer removed a snapping turtle from a Park Street address at 11:26 a.m.

A motorist who was seen by a resident and a police officer doing burnouts on Mulberry Street around 5:50 p.m. was found by police shortly afterwards.

A caller on Water Street reported that an older man was urinating outside of the bathroom area at 7:41 p.m. People in the area didn’t see anything and the supposed man was gone from the scene.
