Monday, March 21
Police dispersed individuals involved in a road rage incident near Child Street at 10:30 a.m.

A caller reported they were the victim of a hit and run incident near Child Street and Arlington Avenue around 9:13 p.m. The offending vehicle was described as a tan van, and the information was provided to Barrington Police.

Katie Sousa, 39, of Bristol, was arrested following the report of an intoxicated woman who was attempting to leave in her vehicle in the area of Arlington Avenue at 11:49 p.m. She was charged with simple assault and/or battery and disorderly conduct and was arraigned later the following morning and released.

Tuesday, March 22
The principal of a school on Child Street reported that a juvenile student had brought a knife to school at 10:45 a.m.

Ryan Nieves, 20, of Portsmouth, was arrested at 2:47 p.m. on Main Street after a report came in of a male party refusing to leave an establishment. He was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and was arraigned and released later that evening.

Wednesday, March 23
A sick or injured raccoon was reported at 11:29 a.m. on Maple Road but was gone by the time authorities arrived.

Thursday, March 24
A streetlight at Market and Parker Streets was reported out at 3:33 p.m. The streetlight company was notified.

National Grid was advised of a wire that had gone down and became entangled with a tree branch on Barker Avenue around 4:44 p.m.

Friday, March 25
A woman on Emery Road reported at 2:59 a.m. that there were several people at the end of her driveway possibly tampering with her vehicle.

A caller reported that he had found a large “blade” while walking at Burr’s Hill Park around 11:30 a.m.

A caller reported loose chickens on Bridge Street around 1:07 p.m.

A delivery driver reportedly struck an overhang of a building on Schoolhouse Road at 3:20 p.m. Nobody was injured.

Juveniles were reported at 5:37 p.m. by someone as using toy guns while at the park, and was unsure if they were legal. Police confirmed they were similar to Nerf guns.

Saturday, March 26
A caller reported that a tent had been pitched on Brown Street in a wooded area around 9:37 a.m.

A verbal argument that possibly turned physical was reported on the bike path near Beach Street at 11:10 a.m. Nobody was around when authorities showed up, however.

Juveniles suspected of being up to no good on Water Street around 7:59 p.m. were simply trying to keep out of the rain. Police sent them away from the public field.

Sunday, March 27
An injured rabbit was reported near Market Street and Ellis Avenue at 11:22 a.m. It was picked up by the animal control officer shortly afterward and transported to Windswept Farm on Serpentine Road at 12:39 p.m.

A caller on Bridge Street reported that an unknown man, identifying himself as homeless and wearing all black clothing, knocked on her door and asked for money earlier that morning. Police did not locate anyone matching the description in the area.

A caller reported at 3:04 p.m. that several juveniles met briefly at the park on Water Street and appeared to “exchange a package.” But upon police arrival, all the individuals had left the park.
