Warren police: Another panhandling arrest

Items were reported stolen from a business on Market Street.

An officer found a disabled drone on Child Street, and contacted the owner.

A possibly sick coyote was spotted going into the woods near Cedar Lane.

A caller from Child Street told police that his friend had been assaulted.

A Water Street woman came home to find that all the lights had been turned on in her apartment. Nothing was missing and there was no evidence of an attempted breaking and entering, police said.

Wednesday, Oct. 11

Police tagged a car parked within six feet of a corner, at Ellis Avenue and Market Street.

A Union Street caller told police that a woman was stealing recycling bins. Police checked it out and determined that the bins were hers.

A woman reported that her son’s bike was stolen on Child Street.

The animal control officer caught up with a loose dog on Wood Street and returned it to its Federal Street owner.

A Water Street woman complained that her upstairs neighbor was harassing her.

A Broad Street woman told police that someone used her phone and changed her password, locking her out.

A caller told police that kids were hitting each other on Child Street. Police checked it out; they were playing.

Police got a call about a drunken man walking in and out of traffic on State Street.

A Parker Avenue woman reported being harassed.

A caller from Shell Road called police after hearing what she thought were gunshots. It turned out to be fireworks.

Thursday, Oct. 12

A suspicious man spotted on Child Street at 2:17 told police he was looking for a lighter that he said he’d lost.

A resident brought a wallet into the station that he’d found on Child Street.

A caller reported a man and woman arguin on Main Street.

Police contacted the Department of Child and Youth Services after a walk-in reported child abuse.

A Market Street woman reported being verbally harassed.

Axel A. Alicea, 40, of Pawtucket, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, and on a Rhode Island Family Court warrant, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue just before 5 p.m.’

Timothy R. Dubois, 25, of 19 Ridgeway Drive, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and reckless driving/drag racing/eluding police, after police pulled him over on Hanley Lane at 8:16 p.m.

A noise complaint came in from Brady Street at 10:44 p.m., but all was quiet when police arrived.

Friday, Oct. 13

A man and woman were reported arguing on Manning Street just before 3 a.m.

Police dispersed a panhandler on Main Street just after 1:30 p.m. Less than an hour, they got another call about an aggressive panhandler at Miller and Main streets. They responded and charged Mustaf Abdille, 30, who is homeless, with disorderly conduct.

A caller reported seeing a coyote on Old Market Street just after 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 14

A Third Street woman complained about noisy neighbors just after 12:15 a.m.

Police were called to an argument on Market Street.

Sein DesRosiers, 21, of 201 Main St., Apt. 3, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct and two counts of domestic simple assault/battery, after police received a call at 12:43 p.m. for people who appeared to be screaming at each other at a Main Street address.

A Buffalo Avenue woman complained that kids had damaged her fence.

A woman on Miller Street called police but declined to press charges after she said she was struck in the face by another woman.

A loud music call came in from Market Street at 11:47 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 15

A man and woman were heard arguing on Wood Street just before 4:30 a.m.

A Market Street man called police after he said he found a bike. Police determined the bike wasn’t lost; it’d been left outing the trash.
