Monday, June 11

A sign was reported stolen from a Vernon Street home.

A caller reported that a man was possibly vandalizing a fence at the Cumberland Farms on  Market Street. Turns out quite the opposite: The man had been hired by Cumby’s to remove/cover graffiti on the fence.

Gordon N. Butler, 30, of Bristol, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, second offense, after police pulled him over on Kickemuit Road.

A Main Street man reported the theft of his bike.

A Hope Street man complained that a neighbor was harassing his children while they played outside.

A caller on Arlington Avenue complained about a neighbor’s fire pit.

A loud music call came in from Long Lane.

Tuesday, June 12

A Kickemuit Road man reported a knock, knock knocking at his chamber door.

The animal control officer was called to Child Street after a woman was bitten by a dog.

Darien J. Fortes, 21, of New Bedford, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, first offense, after police pulled him over on Wilbur Avenue.

The harbormaster assisted in the search for a person possibly in the water near Poppasquash Point in Bristol. The search turned up negative.

Wednesday, June 13

A Third Street woman reported receiving harassing messages from a person who claimed to be her boyfriend.

A Market Street woman told police that someone rummaged through her car while it was parked overnight.

A Child Street man complained that his friend’s girlfriend ripped him off.

A caller from Water Street told police that two men were trying to run a phony asphalt paving scam in the neighborhood.

A Davis Street man told police that his landlord was harassing him.

A counselor at Mt. Hope High School called police after a student told her that she had been assaulted by her father.

Thursday, June 14

A Main Street woman reported finding two opossums in her trash barrel.

Scott J. Douglass, 57, of Rehoboth, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, first offense, after police pulled him over on Child Street.

A Market Street woman reported having trouble with her neighbors.

Ashley Bowen, 30, of Barrington, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license, first offense, after she was involved in an accident on Long Lane.

Friday, June 15

Michael D. Byrnes, 44, of 36 Kinnicutt Ave., was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled him over on Poverty Corner Road.

Saturday, June 16

A Serpentine Road man heard what he believed to be gunshots, in the woods near his home.

Police and fire crews assisted a resident whose child was locked in a car on Child Street.

A caller from Ridgeway drive complained that an elderly neighbor regularly masturbates in public. Police spoke to the man, who said he has a medical condition. Police advised him to keep his door closed.

A car struck and killed a deer at Main Street and Village Road, just after 5:30 a.m.

Mark S. Durand, 39, of 20 Union St., Apt. 1, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue.

A Child Street man reported getting into an argument with his girlfriend.

Sunday, June 17

A woman told police that a person may have been rummaging through cars around Westminster and Johnson streets.

A sailor lost power aboard his boat while running in the Warren River, but several fellow boaters assisted the boater and he was able to get to the Town Wharf on Water Street.

James J. Dupras, 33, of Cumberland, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, first offense, and on a bench warrant from Sixth Division District Court, after police pulled him over on Market Street.

A caller from Locust Terrace reported being threatened. 

A caller reported a possible drunk driver headed toward Bristol.

A Wood Street resident complained about fireworks.

An anonymous caller complained about a dog barking off Metacom Avenue.
