Warren police: Boy, 15, charged with felony assault

Monday, June 12

A cat bite reported on Water Street at 1:23 p.m. was followed 19 minutes later by a dog bite on Sowamsett Avenue.

Police and rescue crews helped a man locked in a bathroom on Libby Lane.

Joao G. Pimental, 60, of 103 Vernon St., was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, second offense, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue at 6:21 p.m.

A landlord and tenant on Seymour Street got into an argument over whose job it was to cut the grass.

Police spoke to a Metacom Avenue man about town ordinances after a neighbor complained that his dog was barking, and that he would not bring the animal inside.

Tuesday, June 13

A driver at Child Street and Serpentine Road struck a deer.

A woman complained that someone spray-painted graffiti on a cement memorial to her son on Child Street, behind Del’s.

A boy, 15, was charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon, simple assault or battery, disorderly conduct and possession of a weapon other than a firearm, after police responded to Metacom Avenue at 7:47 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. A second boy, 16, was charged with simple assault or battery and disorderly conduct.

Wednesday, June 14

A caller spotted a coyote on Ann Court at 11:05 a.m.

A Child Street man reported that his downstairs neighbor was attempting to break into his apartment.

A fireworks complaint came in from Vernon Street at 9:23 p.m.

Nicole B. Raposa, 25, of 109 Market St., Apt. 2, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone, and domestic disorderly conduct, after a man called police at 11:21 p.m. and reported that Ms. Raposa came home and struck him while he was sleeping in bed with his kids.

Thursday, June 15

A caller reported hearing shots fired on Union Street just after 1 a.m. Subsequently, Keith A. Raposa, 31, of 22 Union St., second floor, was charged with firing in the compact area of town. 

Marques A. Franklin, 27, of 211 Market St., 1F, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct, after a neighbor reported a fight next door.

A Water Street woman reported the theft of loose change from her parked car.

Someone vandalized a shed on Water Street.

Friday, June 16

A Market Street woman reported a possible break-in at her apartment.

A Birchswamp Road called police after locking his keys in his car just after 4 p.m. Police were able to get in.

A Seymour Street resident called police at the crack of dawn to complain about a rooster crowing loudly.

Police got calls that an elderly man was swerving in and out of traffic on Market Street.

Someone complained that kids were throwing stuffed animals out of the second floor of a Homestead Avenue home.

Antonio Toste, 48, of 28 Davis St., second floor, was charged with disorderly conduct after a fight on Market Street called in at 10:54 p.m.

Sunday, June 18

A Taddy Avenue resident complained about loud ATVs in the area.

Aleia Pontes, 36, of 427 Child St., Apt. 3, was charged with domestic simple ssault/battery, domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property, and domestic disorderly conduct, after her mother called police to report being attacked.

Kayla M. Nicoll, 28, of 69 Union St., was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled her over on Campbell Street at 2:07 p.m.

Someone found a box of kittens on the side of Schoolhouse Road. They were taken to the Harbor Animal Hospital.
