Warren police: Domestic assault suspect faces third charge

Monday, March 12
Police were called to Birchswamp Road for a report of a seagull stuck in the grill of a truck.
A landlord told police that a former tenant of a Parker Avenue residence damaged the property. Police responded and noted that the damage was due to a prior snow storm, not vandalism.
The animal control officer was alerted to a squirrel that had become stuck in a trap on Brown Street.
Someone threw a beer bottle through the window of a car parked on Arlington Avenue.
A caller reported an erratic and possibly drunk driver on Market Street. It turned out to be an elderly driver not feeling well.
Police detained, but did not file charges against, a Portsmouth man after getting a call about a man with a sweatshirt over his head, running frantically around Arlington Avenue with a knife.
Tuesday, March 13
Police received numerous calls due to weather, including lines and trees down.
A Warren Avenue resident complained that a nearby resident was blowing snow into the street.
A Mason Street man ask that police remove an unwanted woman from his residence.
Antonio Toste, 49, of 28 Davis St., second floor, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery, third offense and domestic disorderly conduct, after receiving a call from a friend of a woman who sent her a text claiming Mr. Toste broke her nose.
Wednesday, March 14
A Main Street caller complained that a business adjacent to his home was plowing snow onto the sidewalk in front of his home.
A Bay Road resident spotted footsteps in the snow outside her bedroom window and called police. A day later, police determined that the footprint’s were made by the caller’s daughter.
A Coomer Avenue woman told police that her ex-husband opened utility accounts in her name.
A plow damaged a car on Lambert Lane, the owner claimed.
Fire crews were called to Norbert Street for a cooking mishap.
Thursday, March 15
Construction equipment was stolen from a Main Street site.
A Market Street woman told police that her daughter was receiving harassing and threatening text messages.
Donald L. Cunningham, 40, of Bristol, was arrested by Bristol police on a Warren warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Friday, March 16
A walk-in complained that a woman on Overhill Road was feeding neighborhood cats and “causing a nuisance.”
Saturday, March 17
Police stopped a man walking on Main Street at 3:34 a.m. to ask what he was doing out so late. He said he works the second shift and was taking a walk for exercise.
A Water Street woman called police to report receiving harassing messages online.
A Canario Drive woman spotted a duck waddling around her property and, thinking it might be someone’s pet, called police.
Sunday, March 18
Police were called to Drysdale Street for a neighborhood dispute.
A boy, 16, was charged with possession of more than one ounce of marijuana,after police pulled over a suspicious car on Waterview Lane at 6:48 p.m. After charging, police released him to his mother’s company.
