Warren police logs: All quiet for Fourth (apart from fireworks)

Monday, June 27
A Bay Road man reported receiving harassing messages from his wife.
A woman from Water Street called police at 11:11 a.m. to report that someone who had had too much to drink had just left her home.
Someone complained that kids were riding around Touisset in golf carts. Police checked with the owner and found that their kids, five and seven years old, are not allowed to use the cart.
A Davis Street man complained that a friend withdrew money from his account last October.
A landlord on Child Street called police after getting words that kids were hanging out in his vacant apartment. Police checked and found the place secure.
People were reportedly arguing in the middle of Barney Street.
Tuesday, June 28
A caller from Fatima Drive reported a kitten stuck in a tree. The cat made it down before the animal control officer’s arrival a few minutes later.
Andrew J. Motta, 47, of 14 Leonard St., was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and operating without proof of insurance, after police pulled him over on Touisset Road.
Someone stole a kayak from a Wood Street yard.
Police were called to an argument at Child and Brady streets.
Wednesday, June 29
A Union Street woman complained that a neighbor was taking pictures of her yard, and was sitting on her steps.
The state DOT was contacted after a light at Market Street and Kickemuit Road became stuck on red.
Donat A. Fortin, 54, of Bristol, was charged with failure to stop at an accident, after he allegedly struck a parked car at Metacom Avenue and Vernon Street and fled the scene.
Police dispersed five kayakers who’d made their way out onto the Kickemuit Reservoir, north of the BCWA plant.
A Fairview Avenue resident complained that a neighbor was draining a backyard pool, via a garden hose, out onto the road.
A Market Street woman reported the loss or theft of her purse.
Police dispersed three kids skateboarding on the monuments at the Warren Town Common.
Thursday, June 30
Anthony N. McNally
, 20, of Pawtucket, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor after police pulled a car over on Water Street at 12:22 a.m.
Police stopped a man on a bike riding through town at 3:27 a.m. He told them he was on his way to Providence from Fall River.
A Beth Avenue resident reported receiving harassing phone calls.
Syringes were found on Water Street and were due to be disposed of by police.
Police got a complaint that a man was harassing people in the Sisson Street neighborhood.
Friday, July 1
A caller from Water Street reported being threatened by another woman.
A caller from Child Street told police that his cousin was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend.
Police found a tablet on Main Street. No word on whether it was a computer? Half of the Ten Commandments or a daily vitamin.
Corey F. Joy, 24, of 24 Child St., third floor, was charged with possession of narcotics after police went to Child Street for a narcotics investigation.
Police went to Vernon Street for a drunken man acting belligerently.
A fireworks call came in from Davis Street.
Saturday, July 2
Police received numerous fireworks calls from across town.
A caller complained about a small child hanging out the window of a car driving down Water Street.
A Child Street woman complained that someone stole medication from her apartment.
A fake ID complaint came in from a Main Street establishment.
The police advised the operator of a golf cart riding on Coggeshall Street to call it quits.
Sunday, July 3
Police received numerous fireworks calls from across town.
A caller reported a man and woman fighting on Water Street.
Steven Santurri, 40, of Warwick, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, BAC .15 or greater, and possession of narcotics, after police pulled him over on Kickemuit Road at 12:51 a.m.
A Norbert Street woman called police to report being assaulted by her boyfriend. Subsequently, police charged Henry A. Alberti III, 43, of 12 Norbert Street, with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
A bike was stolen from the rear yard of a home on Main Street.
Eric D. Greene, 46, of Seekonk, was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrent, after police pulled him over on Main Street.
Someone complained about illegal dumping on Campbell Street.
A possible drunk driver was reported on Birchswamp Road.
Monday, July 4
Police received numerous fireworks calls from across town.
Someone on Metacom Avenue complained that a nearby man was speaking too loudly into a telephone.
Multiple callers reported a fight on Railroad Avenue just after 2 p.m.
Police notified the owner of a wallet that his missing item had been found on Frank Court. He came in later to pick it up.
Police got a call about a possibly drunk bicyclist on Franklin Street.
A man on Main Street called at 11:40 p.m. to report that he was drunk and needed a rescue.
Tuesday, July 5
A Good Samaritan brought in a wallet found on the bike path, and police contacted the owner.
