Warren police logs: Alleged drunk driver goes off-road

Monday, June 6
A Water Street woman returned after being away three days to find all the doors in her portent open. However, nothing appeared to be missing.
Randy G. Carvalho, 3, of Barrington, turned himself in on a warrant for domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
Police got a call about two motorcyclists operating recklessly on Metacom Avenue.
Police got a complaint that a bartender at a Water Street establishment was heavily intoxicated. Police said the call was unfounded.
A Metacom Avenue resident reported receiving telephone threats.
Tuesday, June 7
A horse got loose on Serpentine Road, but was brought back home a few minutes later.
A Federal Street resident overheard someone saying he was going to burn his building down.
Irvin G. Tilley, 43, of Barringotn, was pulled over on Wheaton Street and charged with violating a no contact order.
A caller reported an aggressive driver on Market Street. The car was equipped with wigwags (police-style lights).
Wednesday, June 8
Police got a call about a woman using foul language at a bus stop on Main Street. Pollice spoke to the woman, who blamed it on another woman who’d just left.
Police received multiple 911 calls for a disturbance at the Launder N Luxury laundromatic at Water and Main streets. Apparently, the man causing the disturbance was upset that his dry cleaning was not ready.
Thursday, June 9
A Kelly Street man who’d applied for a loan online discovered it was all a scam and called police.
A bullying call came in from the Hugh Cole School.
Someone was reported for riding a dirt bike on Union Street.
A Baker Street man complained at 11:31 p.m. that workers were cutting the grass and using a leaf blower. Police advised the man that the work was a DPW worker doing street cleaning.
Friday, June 10
Adrian R. Karikas
, 51, of “N End,” Warren, was charged with loitering on Main Street.
Someone complained about a barking dog on Main Street.
Someone left the transfer station without paying their $6.60 bill. It was an oversight, and the resident returned to pay up.
The night janitor at the Hugh Cole School reported discovering kids on the roof. They were gone prior to police arrival.
Saturday, June 11
Matthew R. Rochette
, 32, of Riverside, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over on Route 114 at 1:14 a.m.
A man called police to report that a group of kids at the basketball courts on Wood Street were attempting to assault him.
Sunday, June 12
Jenilee R. Dunn
, 33, of Swansea, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police said she drove her car off the side of Metacom Avenue at 1:29 a.m.
Police got a call at 2:20 a.m. about a possible drunk driver on Metacom Avenue.
High winds brought a tree down on a Summer Street home.
Police got a call about two men fighting on Kickemuit Road.
Someone stole the plate off a motorcycle on Greene Street.
A woman called police with her concerns about a smoldering clamboil pit at the Pete Sepe Pavilion on Asylum Road.
Marine rescue crews aided in the search for a windsurfer reported missing off Conimicut Point.
Monday, June 13
Loose cows wandered out onto Barton Avenue from their home on the Kee Farm. They were all guided back in in just under an hour.
Two TVs were reported stolen from a home on Arlington Avenue.
