Warren police: Injured coyotes, stolen beehive and cows on the run

Monday, Nov. 27

The animal control officer safely freed a hawk that had become trapped in a Main Street building.

Tuesday, Nov. 28

A caller reported at 6:44 a.m. that cows were loose on Libby Lane. They were all returned to their pen by 8 a.m.

A Mayo Drive resident was reported for buning leaves without a permit.

Kevin P. Carreiro, 35, of 9 Patterson Ave., was arrested on a warrant fro driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense.

The principal of the Hugh Cole School told police that a boy threatened to harm his pregnant teacher’s baby.

A Serpentine Road woman reported the theft of her beehive. No word on whether police are setting up a sting to catch the thief.

Lonnie Scott Goll, 45, of 385 Metacom Ave., Apt. 1W, was arrested as a fugitive from justice.

A walk-in complainant told police that her sister took her license plates.

A caller told police that his brother was assaulted on Metacom Avenue by three men who tried to take his cell phone.

A Baker Street man complained that his neighbor was drunk and was playing music loudly.

A Brady Street resident reported hearing shots fired.

Wednesday, Nov. 29

A Market Street resident reported possibly identity theft.

A caller reported finding a purse; police returned it to the owner.

A caller told police there was a large hole in the sidewalk along Main Street. Police looked into it but could not get to the bottom of it.

Friday, Dec. 1

A caller from Child Street told police that there was a man, identity unknown, wearing camouflage in the area.

Saturday, Dec. 2

A caller reported seeing a coyote at Overhill and Bay roads. Soon after, another caller reported an injured coyote on Almeida Drive, and another call soon came in for an injured coyote, this time on Bay.

A Main Street woman called police after falling victim to a phone scam.

A woman called from Butterworth Drive to report that a man walking his dog “looked at her in a weird way.”

Sunday, Dec. 3

Joseph A. Cintron, 25, of Providence, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, refusal to submit to a chemical test and driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled him over on Market Street at 2:08 a.m.

A Main Street woman called to police that her estranged husband had threatened to ransack her apartment.

Someone drove across the front lawn of a Strawberry Lane home.

Monday, Dec. 4

Robert G. Fraser, 21, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., turned himself in on a bench warrant from Sixth Division District Court.
