Monday, Aug. 28

Maria Ligia P. Pimentel, 56, of 325 Child St., was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant.

Yanitza I. Montanez, 23, of Providence, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license, second offense, operation of an unregistered vehicle and operation without evidence of insurance, after police pulled her over on Metacom Avenue just before 4 p.m.

A woman asked for a police escort while she retrieved belongings from a Coomer Street home.

A Summit Drive woman asked for a well-being check on herself after having an incident with her ex-husband.

Tuesday, Aug. 29

A Main Street caller told police at 12:10 a.m. that two women left a suspicious package on her doorstep. It turned out to be legal fireworks.

A Union Street resident complained about a woman rummaging through recycle bins.

A man in a verbal argument on Main Street requested that a police officer come down.

An iPhone was reported stolen from Main Street.

A Davis Street man reported being harassed.

A woman called police at 5:33 p.m. to report that she locked her keys in her car, with a child inside.

An Ellis Avenue woman complained about a man swearing and trying to provoke her and her husband.

Thomas J. Melo, 21, of Riverside, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after a car stop on Market Street just before 10 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 30

A woman told police that someone passed fraudulent checks at her business.

A Market Street man reported being threatened.

Thursday, Aug. 31

A caller found a women’s mountain bike on Metacom Avenue and handed it over to police.

Todd Cristiano, 41, of 17 Martin St., first floor, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license.

A Birchswamp Road homeowner complained that two women stole wood from their property, put it in their car and drove off.

Friday, Sept. 1

Ellson L. Meagher, 30, of 72 Seymour St., was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license.

A Sowamsett Avenue woman reported being assaulted the previous night.

A Metacom Avenue resident reported the unauthorized use of a credit card.

A caller at the Kickemuit Middle School reported a verbal argument between the school soccer coach and a parent. Police reported 15 minutes after the original call that it was a misunderstanding between the two. “Both were advised.”

A caller reported a possibly drunken man at the bus stop at Franklin and Main streets.

An Oyster Point asked police for help with an unruly juvenile.

A caller reported multiple kids on Church Street.

A caller from Homestead Avenue told police about a coyote seen crossing Metacom Avenue.

Desmond M. Willams, 19, of 39 Sowamsett Ave., was charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault after a car stop on Howland Street at about 7:14 p.m.

An employee of Dunkin Donuts on Main Street asked that police post an officer at the shop for her protection; earlier in the day an employee called to repot that a man had called the store multiple times.

A Napoleon Street resident complained about a neighbor’s barking dog.

Saturday, Sept. 2

David Charles Jaycox, 34, of 16 Miller St., was charged with pay evasion after the driver of a taxi went to police headquarters to report that Mr. Jaycox failed to pay his fare.

A Market Street woman called police just after 9:30 a.m. and asked that they remove her boyfriend.

A Munro Avenue woman called police to report a possible argument between two neighbors. Turns out one was doing construction in the home and was yelling as a result.

Sunday, Sept. 3

Madellin Lebron Vizcaino, 34, of Manville, RI., was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license.

Police dispersed a panhandler on Market Street at 9:29 a.m.

Police dispersed a belligerent customer from a Metacom Avenue establishment.

A Manning Street man complained that neighborhood kids were kicking a ball against the side of his home.

Monday, Sept. 4

A caller reported that a friend of his accidentally knocked on a neighbor’s door instead of his, and was greeted by a man who treated to get his gun.

A caller complained about people camping out on conservation land off Schoolhouse Road.

A caller reported that he’d dropped his keys in the sewer. When police fond out the man dropped the keys in Swansea, they referred him to Swansea police.

A woman asked that police be present when she asked her boyfriend to leave.

Police got a call about an aggressive raccoon on Laurel Lane. By the time officers arrived it was not so aggressive — in fact it was dead, and police placed it in a trash bag and left it for the animal control officer.

A Frank Court man reported receiving unwanted messages on Facebook.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
