Monday, Oct. 1

Police got a call about a suspicious man hiding in the bushes along Market Street just before 9:30 a.m. A search turned up nothing.

A Market Street woman complained that someone fraudulently opened up utility service accounts in her name.

Police got a call about a sick turkey on Colonial Drive. The animal control officer was able to capture and relocate the bird.

A South Grove Avenue resident reported receiving harassing text messages.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

A Market Street woman contacted police after receiving explicit messages via Social Media.

Police got a call about a panhandler on Main and Miller streets.

An officer working a detail on Main Street at 3:21 p.m. reported a man “running around with a stick.” An officer investigated and learned there was no problem; the man was just using the stick to poke around.

A caller from Palmer Avenue reported a neighbor’s loud music at 6:19 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

A caller from Arlington Avenue reported being assaulted by his boyfriend. Police put out a BOLO for the offender.

Police got a call about a panhandler at Main and Miller streets. As with the previous call, the man was gone upon police arrival.

A break-in was reported at an Oyster Point home.

Thursday, Oct. 4

A caller from Sisson Street complained about loud music. The call came in just after midnight.

Police got a call about a suspicious man believed to be breaking into vehicles. The call came in from Main Street at 1:48 a.m.

A Barker Avenue woman told police the someone rummaged through her car and took change.

Items were reported stolen from a car parked on West Street.

A Middle Street woman told police that someone tampered with her car overnight, stealing her change.

Friday, Oct. 5

Police got a call about a juvenile who may have been assaulted by a parent on Third Street.

The animal control officer was called to Brown Street by a resident who reportedly saw a copperhead snake in the yard. The snake was gone upon police arrival.

A caller reported a “male with metal in his teeth wearing a brace on his leg (attempting) to steal a bicycle.”

Saturday, Oct. 6

Police got a call about noisy residents on Child Street, around 1 a.m.

A search for a possible drunk driver reported on Market Street at 3:12 a.m. turned up nothing.

A caller from Lyndon Street reported what appeared to be a person rummaging through a car. A police search turned up no trace of the suspect.

Sunday, Oct. 7

Robert J. Pedretti, 35, of Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue at 1:45 a.m.

A Child Street woman reported receiving threatening phone messages.

Scott M. Mullin, 37, of Bristol, was arrested on a warrant for violating a no contact order, third offense.
