Warren police logs: Man indicted on sexual assault charge

Monday, June 4
A mother and daughter came in to police headquarters to report harassment.
A Wood Street woman told police that her husband hit her.
A caller told police that her daughter was being bullied at school.
Tuesday, June 5
A Water Street resident woke up to find his car missing from the driveway.
A caller from Metacom Avenue reported being harassed.
The principal of the Hugh Cole School told police that a teacher pushed a student in the hallway during a fire drill. Police are investigating, and no charges have been brought.
James M. Medeiros, 36, of 379 Metacom Ave., second floor, was picked up on a warrant for domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
An Almeida Drive resident told police that she was being harassed through social media.
A caller reported a possible drunk driver on Market Street.
Wednesday, June 6
A Wood Street woman told police that her husband slapped and choked her.
A Main Street man told police that someone had gone into his car.
Daniel L. Everett, 48, of 68 Wood St., was picked up on a warrant for domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
A juvenile, 14, was arrested for simple assault and disorderly conduct.
Wayne A. Patenaude, 59, of 160 Water St., was picked up on a warrant for second degree sexual assault that allegedly occurred in April. Police at the time received information from a man who had been staying with Mr. Patenaude at his home, that on multiple occasions while he slept, Mr. Patenaude touched him in an inappropriate manner and attempted to kiss him. Police handed their information over to the state Attorney General, and a grand jury agreed there was enough evidence to bring charges.
Rodney A. Davis, 32, of 340 Main St., Apt. 6, was charged with possession of narcotics after police checked out a suspicious person on Main Street at 6:18 p.m. Police said a field test performed by police yielded a positive test for crack cocaine.
Someone reported finding a bike sticking out of the water off Water Street.
Joseph Rioux, 42, of 89 Market St., was picked up on a warrant for felony domestic assault with a deadly weapon and domestic disorderly conduct. Police said the incident in question occurred in April, when police were called to his home after his son said Mr. Rioux pulled a knife on him during an argument. Police placed a warrant out for his arrest and picked him up on Wednesday.
Police received a report of an intoxicated patron causing a scene in a Metacom Avenue restaurant. Police reported that the man’s relatives took him home.
Thursday, June 7
A shoplifter was reported in a Metacom Avenue store.
A Child Street resident complained that someone opened a National Grid account in her name.
A child was reportedly assaulted by another at school.
A caller reported the smell of burning trash on Franklin Street. It turned out to be people using a chimnea; they were advised to put it out.
Police got a call about a fight on Baker Street in which a knife was allegedly shown. Those involved were gone when police arrived.
Friday, June 8
Daniel Peck
, 52, of 30 Oyster Point, was arrested on a bench warrant out of Sixth Division District Court.
A Touisset Road resident complained about a black truck with loud exhaust.
A Maple Street man asked police to remove his girlfriend from the residence.
A Long Lane resident complained about a neighbor’s loud noise. Police said the volume was not excessive.
Saturday, June 9
A Market Street resident complained at 1:20 a.m. of a neighbor’s loud music.
Police received multiple calls about a deer on Union Street.
A Child Street resident complained that neighbors working on a motorcycle were too loud.
Sunday, June 10
A Metacom Avenue reported coyotes in the area.
Ethan J. Fox, 21, of Seekonk, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over at Metacom and Bee Jay Court at 2 a.m.
Brittany Rath-Roth, 28, of 15 Company St., was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license, and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, after police pulled her over on Market Street at 12:58 p.m.
Police got a call about two juveniles on bikes causing problems near Metacom and Ridgeway Drive.
Fire fighters from Engine 2 were able to gain access to a home on Warren Avenue after being informed that the resident’s four-year-old child was locked inside.
A Vernon Street resident reported receiving harassing phone calls and messages.
A Bay Road woman told police that her son ran away with a friend. He returned a few hours later.
Monday, June 11
A caller complained about people making too much noise on Croade Street at 12:41 a.m.
